Active involvement in one or more of our committees affords members even greater opportunity to achieve networking and business development goals.

Summer and Fall Committee Letter

As a member of a Committee, you will:

  • gain greater insight toward issues affecting the Chamber and local business community
  • access a forum to voice your opinions and help influence decisions
  • attain a more direct opportunity to build or forge new business relationships with other chamber members

AMBASSADOR

Meets: As Needed
This committee’s primary goal is to maintain membership retention and promote goodwill throughout the Chamber.   Ambassadors are the welcoming representatives at Chamber Breakfasts, Business After Hours, Ribbon Cuttings and Special Events.

EDUCATION

Meets:

Every third week of the month on Fridays at 9:30 ( voted best donuts and bagels at a meeting)

This committee creates activities and programs to enhance the communication and understanding between the business community and all of the public and private educational institutions in the Davie/Cooper City area.  The committee promotes business and school partnerships and  and administers the grant and scholarship program for the Education Foundation.

GOVERNMENT, ECONOMIC & COMMUNITY AFFAIRS

Meets: 2nd Tuesday @ 4:00 p.m.
This committee evaluates pending legislation and community and economic development initiatives and maintains the lines of communication and discussion with the Davie-Cooper City communities.

2019 TASTE OF WEST BROWARD

This committee plans, coordinates and executes our 2019 Taste of West Broward event. Taste of West Broward is night of food and wine tastings that supports a local Charity and the Chamber of Commerce.

WEST BROWARD LEADERSHIP CERTIFICATE PROGRAM

This is a six month program series of site visits, entrepreneurial ideas, learning the history of Davie and Cooper City, government and community affairs issues and gaining business information from small and large companies in the West Broward area.
Program starts Friday, March 15th, and will meet once a month for a full day.
